As Ivey prepares for a dinner party celebrating her best friend Olive's art sale, she gets an unexpected call from her mother that throws her into a tailspin. She sneaks prescription pills into her bag behind her boyfriend Cameron's back, and uses copious amounts of wine to cope with her mixed feelings. When her mother tries her again after dinner, she is driven to taking a pill, and the combination leads to an explosive fight between her and Cameron in front of their friends.
